Aus conference proceedings 2017 header

In these proceedings, we present the intellectual tapestry woven at the 2017 University-Industry Engagement Conference. This gathering, marked by its commitment to knowledge exchange and innovation, featured 6 academic contributions and 5 practitioner insights.

Within the academic track, we embarked on a journey into the theoretical realms of public-private partnerships, explored new governance models for entrepreneurial universities, and delved into the performance of university technology transfer. Trust and distrust in university-industry research collaboration and experiential interface design for knowledge transfer were also explored, offering fresh perspectives on bridging the academia-industry gap.

Our practitioner papers showcased real-world engagement strategies, including collaborative sectorial approaches, communities of practice, and the vital role of customer voices in business and student learning. Models for collaborative university-industry relationships and strategies to facilitate boundary crossings between academia, business, and government were also illuminated.

As we navigate these proceedings, we extend our appreciation to the authors, reviewers, and participants for their dedication to enriching the discourse on university-industry engagement.
