After a period of global challenges, it was truly heartwarming to reconvene in person for the 2022 UIIN Conference in the vibrant city of Amsterdam where we are based. The opportunity to see familiar faces and engage in face-to-face discussions marked a significant milestone in our journey. This conference, celebrating the spirit of knowledge exchange and collaboration, featured a total of 9 papers that pushed the boundaries of university-business collaboration.

From measuring and managing knowledge transfer to exploring transformative academic institutions and the comprehensive USC Ecosystem, we delve into the intricacies of partnership and innovation. We uncover the effectiveness of knowledge sharing between universities and SMEs, the missing links between international collaboration, and the economic potential of patents.

The academic and practitioner papers in this collection embody the dedication and resilience of our community. We extend our sincere gratitude to the authors, reviewers, and participants who contributed to this enriching dialogue.
