Podcast | Research Valorisation – Supporting Valorisation and Commercialisation in the University
In this new series, we will focus on Research Valorisation, Commercialisation & Technology Transfer. Higher education institutions are key knowledge creators, however, too often the valuable insights and competences developed within these institutions do not reach beyond the confines of academia. Addressing the needs of non-academic stakeholders, as direct beneficiaries of research outcomes, can aid in tackling relevant local, regional and global challenges and create greater societal impact.
For this episode, facilitated by Sarah Jaber, Manager Business Development at UIIN, we have invited Jetty van Ginkel, Owner at Care for Impact in the Netherlands; Marguerite Evans-Galea, Executive director of the Industry Mentoring Network in STEM and co-founder of Women in Stem Australia; and Chris Fellingham, Social Sciences and Humanities Lead at Oxford University Innovations and Founder and Director of the ARC Accelerator. We will discuss how universities can enhance the entrepreneurial mindset within their institution to drive research excellence and innovation, while exploring different commercialisation pathways and overcoming barriers.
We hope you enjoy the discussion.
