About the position

We are looking for a new Community Developer to drive and coordinate UIIN’s marketing and communication, its community growth and ensure active community participation in our events, training and advisory services. UIIN is supporting universities to become more innovative institutions with a stronger impact on society. Help us to inspire and enable an exciting group of universities from across the globe, actively build relationships and contribute to their individual and institutional growth.

Over the last few years, UIIN has been in a growth phase, building its community through the establishment of new, and enhancement of current, service offerings. This is an exciting time for the organisation as we continue to grow and expand our community into new markets and improve the experience of our current community members. We are looking for you to coordinate the communication, marketing and sales towards our community, stay informed on the needs of our community, and ensure current and new members experience the full value of the UIIN community.

Typical tasks may include

Develop strategies and coordinate the implementation of UIIN’s cross-platform communication, incl. e-mail & social media marketing campaigns.
Manage UIIN’s sales funnel to drive recruitment of new community members.
Coordinate the development and implementation of new initiatives, including geographical expansion, new programs, and launching new media.
Plan and coordinate UIIN’s online and offline events, and manage our Community and Events officer to implement conferences, forums, webinars, workshops, etc.
Work with our research, consultancy and training teams to design and create an excellent user experience across all UIIN services.
Conduct needs analysis in order to further develop our understanding of the UIIN community and how we can engage, attract and retain members.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

About 5 years’ relevant work experience relating to marketing, communication, sales and/or growing and managing a community
A proven ability to develop successful marketing and communication approaches and campaigns, and/or building communities
Experience in approaching and engaging with end-users, promoting activities and services, and generating buy-in across multiple stakeholder groups
Experience with marketing and communication platforms and tools
Willingness and capability to pioneer and test new initiatives
Excellent analytical and written skills, with the ability to create and write engaging content for professionals
An understanding of the field of university-industry engagement is a plus.
