What is a fireside chat?

A UIIN Fireside Chat is an hour-long, interview session between a UIIN facilitator and an external industry expert on a high-level topic. Participants will leave with insights and inspiration after hearing the experiences and perspectives of the guest speaker, and have the opportunity to ask questions during the session. Fireside Chats are also recorded for UIIN podcasts and are available after the session.

Jen Dollin

Director, Sustainability Education and Partnerships at Western Sydney University

Jen Dollin is the Director, Sustainability Education and Partnerships in the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor Education Partnerships and Quality at Western Sydney University. She lives and works on Darug Country. In her current role Jen provides leadership and oversight of institutional strategic expert advice and annual reporting on sustainability to drive and deliver on the University’s strategic directions and international rankings. A key strategic priority is on delivering on the University’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 agenda. Jen’s background is in corporate finance, environmental economics, and sustainability policy development. She has professional experience in developing participatory approaches to sustainability challenges across diverse stakeholder groups and research interests in transdisciplinary learning, ecofeminism and multispecies ethnography.
