UIIN Forum: Creating Shared Value Through University–Industry Collaboration

Welcome to Country and welcome address from Adelaide University and UIIN, setting the stage for the forum and themes.

Hear university, industry and government perspectives on what meaningful impact looks like and how it can be demonstrated. The discussion will look beyond individual partnerships to explore how institutional strategy, leadership, structures, incentives and wider networks of collaboration can create the conditions for impact at scale.

Work with practical UIIN frameworks to identify and demonstrate the value created through collaboration — from individual partnerships to wider portfolios and institutional engagement. Participants will explore what to measure, what evidence is useful and how to communicate value to leadership and other stakeholders.

Learn from examples of collaboration that have delivered tangible economic, institutional or societal outcomes. The session will showcase different models — from university–industry partnerships to multi-partner networks and ecosystem-based approaches — examining what they set out to achieve, how collaboration was organised, what changed as a result and what others can learn from their experience.
