1 – Novice
I am completely new to external engagement and have no prior experience or knowledge of collaboration between universities-industry-society.
2 – Beginner
In my external engagement activities, I rely on support from others and would like to focus on discovering and exploring learning concepts that are new to me, and building knowledge around the potential and opportunities of external engagement.
3 – Competent
In my external engagement activities, I am able to operate on my own and together with my peers. I have moderate experience and knowledge of external engagement concepts and collaboration between universities-industry-society. I am capable of identifying partners and acquiring resources to initiate external engagement activities.
4 – Proficient
In my external engagement activities, I am able to operate completely on my own and can take responsibility for decision making. I have sufficient experience and knowledge of external engagement concepts and collaboration between universities-industry-society. I am capable of effectively implementing and managing external engagement activities.
5 – Expert
I am able to substantially contribute to and lead external engagement activities. I have extensive experience and substantial expertise of external engagement concepts and collaboration between universities-industry-society. I am capable of initiating, managing and sustaining (all phases) of external engagement activities and want to continue to learn how to measure and improve them.
