During the conference
As the conference venue, Münchenbryggeriet, is not a hotel, it is advisable to allocate sufficient time for travel and ensure that you arrive well-prepared with all necessary equipment on the day of the conference. Prior to your session, kindly arrive at the designated room at least 10 minutes in advance, introduce yourself to the track chair and fellow presenters. Additional details will be provided closer to the conference date.
To create a standout session, tailor your content to the audience, use engaging visuals, and employ interactive elements. Leverage the conference app as a valuable tool to boost the interactivity of your session through features like live polls and quizzes.
Certainly, you are permitted to include videos in your presentations. While the laptop will have internet connectivity, it is advisable not to depend solely on it. Kindly download the content in advance and seamlessly incorporate it into your presentation.
All rooms are equipped with a laptop, projector and a wireless presenter. The laptop will be connected to the internet, however, you should not rely on this (if you would like to refer to a website or other online content, please download it beforehand and integrate it in your presentation). Please note that you will not be allowed to use your own laptop for your presentation.
During your presentation, each speaker will be given a 15-minute presentation slot. The remaining 30 minutes of the session will be used for discussion. We recommend track chairs to either have no, or a very short, Q&A session post each presentation. Instead, accumulate all questions for a comprehensive discussion at the end. This allows deeper engagement with the topic. However, please note that this format is only suggested to the track chairs. Please consult with your track chair before the session to understand the flow of your session.
*These guidelines are applicable for Research, Practitioner and Case Study presentations. Please continue reading for Workshop and Poster presentations.
The workshops will be delivered in a 75-minute – 90-minute time slot. Please have a look at the conference schedule for the exact time of your workshop. During the workshop you will have the opportunity to share your extensive knowledge and experience with our attendees through a hands-on facilitation and practice exchange.
In the room, you will find a collection of post-its, markers, blu tack, flip charts (2), and a general workshop moderation kit (incl. stickers for voting, paper in various colours, etc.). In case you have specific requirements for your session, please contact office@uiin.org to ensure the right materials are present in the room. The set-up of the room will be round tables to offer a collaborative workshop and working in groups.
Your poster presentations will be displayed for a full day at the break area in the heart of the conference venue. Your main presentation time is during the lunch break of the day your poster is displayed. This is the moment you are expected to present your poster, but attendees will be able ot look at your poster throughout the day.
Drop by the UIIN booth in the main lobby area to ask any UIIN team member for assistance throughout the week.
