José is Vice Rector of Entrepreneurship and Employment since 2013, Director of the IDEAS Institute (dean program of entrepreneurship in the Spanish university system) since 2005, Director of the Chair of Management and Entrepreneurial Culture since its creation in 2009 together with the social council of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV)
PhD in Industrial Engineering and Professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in the ETSI Telecommunications and ETSI Industrial. He has been co-founder of the Círculo empresarial-CPI and member of different strategic and reflection tables for transfer, innovation, and entrepreneurial action. He has directed several national and European projects, author and editor of various publications and monographs. He is an evaluator of business competitions and member of scientific committees of international congresses on entrepreneurship and innovation. He has been Editor of the magazine ‘Service Business an international Journal’, and promoter of the association INBAM (International Network on Business & Management).
Entrepreneurship expert by the UPV in international consortia such as Redemprendia, CARPE and ENHANCE. He has participated as a guest speaker at various conferences, congresses, masters, etc. related to university entrepreneurship ecosystems and the creation of EIBT companies, start-ups and spin-offs. In 2009 he obtained the Entrepreneurship Promotion Award 2008/2009, granted by the European Enterprise Awards of the European Union, to the IDEAS Institute.
Responsible for the UPV Entrepreneurship Chairs program for the promotion of University-Enterprise collaboration.
He founded the entrepreneurial ecosystem STARTUPV and was rapporteur of the regulations for the creation of spin-offs adapted to the 24th additional provision and responsible for its deployment in the UPV.
