About the position

We are looking for a business developer to drive and coordinate UIIN’s growth in its community, events, training and advisory services. UIIN is supporting universities to become more innovative institutions with a stronger impact on society. Help us to inspire and enable universities from across the globe, actively build relationships and contribute to their individual and institutional growth.

Over the last few years, UIIN has been in a growth phase, building its community through the establishment of new, and enhancement of current, service offerings. This is an exciting time for the organisation as we continue to grow and expand into new markets and improve the experience of our existing clients. We are looking for you to develop a seamless customer journey across UIIN’s service lines, enter new markets, generate new leads, develop new value propositions, increase sales, stay informed on the needs of our clients, and ensure current and new members experience the full value of the UIIN community.

Start date: November/December 2022

Typical tasks may include

Develop and implement growth and acquisition strategies
Develop and manage the customer journey across various services
Manage UIIN’s sales funnel to identify new opportunities, generate leads and follow-up on leads to increase sales
Develop and implement new initiatives, including geographical expansion, new programs, and launching new media
Work with our event, research, consultancy and training teams to design and create an excellent user experience across all UIIN services.
Conduct needs analysis in order to further develop our understanding of the UIIN community and how we can engage, attract and retain members

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Relevant work experience relating to promoting and selling services or general business development experience
A proven ability to develop successful customer journeys and enhance customer experience
Experience in approaching and engaging with end-users, promoting activities and services, and generating buy-in across multiple stakeholder groups
Willingness and capability to pioneer and test new initiatives
Excellent analytical and written skills, with the ability to create and write engaging content for professionals
An understanding of the field of university-industry engagement is a plus
