Internal Ecosystem - Mapping and Understanding | Workshop
Map your organisation and conduct internal environmental scanning to develop a deep understanding of existing structures, resources, and capabilities within your organisation that you can leverage for partnerships.
Week 2
15 Mar
External Ecosystem - Mapping and Understanding | Workshop
Map your external environment and identify different types of stakeholders and their needs to find potential industry partners and collaborators that align with your institution's goals.
Navigating Your Internal Partnership Ecosystem | Practice Exchange
In this interactive session, university representatives will compare how they organise and govern the partnership function—from central units to faculty teams—and how it connects with wider services (research/impact, alumni & advancement, tech transfer, careers, comms).
Week 3

Asset Mapping | Knowledge-to-Practice
Undertake an interactive internal and external mapping exercise for your organisation’s ecosystem working together with peers and using learnings from the course.

Facilitators & Experts

Sarah is a Director at UIIN and an experienced consultant. She advises universities globally about university – industry engagement, strategic partnerships and institutional strategy. At UIIN, Sarah leads the advisory and business development practice, designing and delivering innovative solutions to enhance universities’ external engagement.

Todd has consulted to the European, Australian, and Vietnamese Governments, and to multiple universities. Todd is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the IMT Business School in Paris and a visiting researcher at Imperial College (UK), Technical University of Vienna (AUT) and the University of Adelaide (AUST) in the topics of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Balzhan is Director of Research & Training at UIIN, where she leads the development and scaling of training courses and ensures that research insights are translated into practical value for our community. She holds a PhD in university–business collaboration and brings deep expertise in connecting research, practice, and innovation to strengthen collaboration between higher education and industry.
